I don’t have African blood in my veins, but the African cultural heritage keeps resonating with me. To the legitimacy of the origins, allow me to add that of the heart.

Explaining my commitment to Africa requires me to reveal part of my private life, not without reservations. My connection with Africa is not in the past of my origins but in the present and the future with three of my children, born in Ethiopia and whom we adopted for 8 years. Thanks to them I became more interested in African cultures and their cultural heritage. So we asked them what they thought of my paintings, that’s the idea for this little family video… Thanks to Abbie, Maya and Otis.
